After reading through some fantastic applications, we’re proud to announce that partner is Heart Kids NZ.

A few weeks back we put the call out for a single Official Charity Partner for 2026. We promised to go all in to make it count.
Why Heart Kids?
Every week in Aotearoa, around 12 families are told their child has a heart condition. That’s 12 families every single week whose world gets turned upside down. Some face heart surgery just hours after birth. Others face weeks or months in hospital and the uncertainty of not knowing what comes next.
Heart Kids NZ is there for those heart whānau. Here in Otago, their local family support team walks alongside heart kids and their families through every up and down of the journey. That might mean a reassuring chat, support during a hospital stay, practical help when things get tough, or simply bringing families together with others who get it.
They say it takes a village to raise a child. For heart whānau, that village means everything, and it’s being built right here in Otago with the support of our local community. That means you!
How you can help on the day
This year we’re rolling out a brand-new way to give at the festival. Keep an eye out for:
Every dollar helps make sure no heart whānau in Otago goes through it alone. So when you’re enjoying a cold one with your mates at Forsyth Barr Stadium at the Beerfest spare a thought (and a few bucks) for the families who need that village most.
