New music for Tāmaki Makaurau band, PARK RD

We are pumped to report that one of our incredible artist line up for this year have just announced some good news – a new album in the pipeline – landing November 6! Well, now that’s some good timing…

The new single, Fatal, features Sydney-based vocalist Molly Millington and marks the final run towards the anticipated release of PARK RD’s second album, Boyhood. The record is described as leaning into a lighter indie-pop sound, inspired by Fontaines D.C., The 1975, and Ryan Beatty.

Now based in Sydney themselves, the band have this to say about the upcoming album:

“This album has been written over a period of time, as we’ve been growing up and experiencing the world around us. It feels like an accumulation of our lives as friends and the relationships happening in the close circles around us. We have romance in there; we have songs about music, stories of good times as well as the bad times. It’s a snapshot of all the highs and lows of growing up, and we are so excited to share what Boyhood means to us with everyone.”

We are just loving the camcorder styles of the video – it’s giving Millennial nostalgia. The music video is directed by Hattie Salmon with choreography by Min.

Come and see these lads live on the big stage at the Beerfest on November 27th & 28th.

In the meantime, you can check out their tunes on Bandcamp and Spotify.
