Part of Panhead’s Batch Can series, this Festbier nods to Bavarian Oktoberfest - a clean, crisp lager with toasty, bready malts. Perfectly balanced and ready for celebrating.
Light malt base with a clean mouthfeel. Notes of lime, citrus, grapefruit and passionfruit. The beer of all trades.
Described as "easy drinking" by many, and not too much of a challenge for those accustomed to green bottle lagers. It's a lager, but with an Epic twist. We have boosted the hop aroma and hop flavour so that is still offers a decent amount of hop interest for those that are craft curious; flavour without it being overwhelming and tasting like hop flowers.
Pilsner is a blonde lager that gets its name from the Bohemian city of Pilsen, first produced in 1842. using the lager yeast strain it's far more tolerant to cold temperatures than Ale yeast strains are. The suppressive effects of the cold temperatures typically used to brew a lager (coupled with their longer aging times) results in a cleaner flavour profile than you might otherwise find in an ale... our youngest addition to the menu, but likely a mainstay, Scotts NZ Pilsner is crisp, dry & good clean fun!
